Gene Mitcham (Eugene Gale Mitcham) was born on May 18, 1932 in Phoenix, Arizona. After going to high school at North (Phoenix, AZ), Mitcham attended Arizona State University. Mitcham made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
