Gene Handley (Eugene Louis Handley) was born on November 25, 1914 in Kennett, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1946 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1946, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 0 home runs and 21 RBI. Handley played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 2 year career.
