Gene Francis (Eugene Arthur Francis) was born on July 1, 1903 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Lindblom (Chicago, IL), Francis attended Unversity of Chicago. Francis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
