Gene Desautels

Gene Desautels (Eugene Abraham Desautels) was born on June 13, 1907 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on June 22, 1930 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1937, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 0 home runs and 27 RBI. Desautels played for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that Gene Desautels's best season was 1938, when he hit for a .291 average.
