Gene Cronin (Gene Edward Cronin) was born on November 20, 1933 in Spaulding, Nebraska. After going to high school at MCClutchy (Sacramento, CA), Cronin attended Sacramento City College and the University of Pacific. Cronin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1960 was Gene Cronin's best year.
