Gene Cockrell (Gene Cockrell) was born on January 10, 1934 in Pampa, Texas. After going to high school at Pampa (TX), Cockrell attended Hardin-Simmons University and the University of Oklahoma. Cockrell made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the New York Titans. He played for the New York Titans for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1961 was Gene Cockrell's best year.
