Gene Cichowski (Eugene W. Cichowski) was born on May 20, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Lane Tech (Chicago, IL), Cichowski attended Indiana University. Cichowski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1957 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1958 was Gene Cichowski's best year.
