Gene Brito (Gene Herman Brito) was born on October 23, 1925 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Lincoln (Los Angeles, CA), Brito attended Loyola Marymount University. Brito made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1952 was Gene Brito's best year.
