Gene Bedford (William Eugene Bedford) was born on December 2, 1896 in Dallas, Texas. Bedford attended Centre College and Southern Methodist University. Bedford made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Rochester Jeffersons. He played for the Rochester Jeffersons for his entire 1 year career.
