Gee Walker (Gerald Holmes Walker) was born on March 19, 1908 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1931 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1931, his rookie year, he hit .296 with 1 home run and 28 RBI. Walker played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Gee Walker's best season was 1937, when he slugged 18 home runs, hit for a .335 average and knocked in 113 runs.
