Born on July 21, 1941 in Meriden, Connecticut, Gary Waslewski (Gary Lee Waslewski) played for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Montreal Expos, New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 6 year career. Waslewski broke into the bigs on June 11, 1967 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.67 ERA in 105.1 innings pitched in 1968, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Gary Waslewski's best season was 1969, when he posted a 3.39 ERA and struck out 79 batters.
