Gary Thurman (Gary Montez Thurman) was born on November 12, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He made his Major League debut on August 30, 1987 for the Kansas City Royals. In 1991, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 2 home runs and 13 RBI. Thurman played for the Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners and New York Mets over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Gary Thurman's best season was 1991, when he hit for a .277 average.
