Gary Spani (Gary L. Spani) was born on January 9, 1956 in Satanta, Kansas. After going to high school at Manhattan (KS), Spani attended Kansas State University. Spani made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1980 was Gary Spani's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown, recovered 4 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
