Gary Mcdermott (Gary Don McDermott) was born on June 9, 1946 in Longview, Texas. After going to high school at Judson (Longview, TX), Mcdermott attended the University of Tulsa. Mcdermott made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Mcdermott also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Atlanta Falcons the entire time.
Most people believe that 1968 was Gary Mcdermott's best year.
