Born on July 8, 1941 in Culver City, California, Gary Kroll (Gary Melvin Kroll) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Houston Astros and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 4 year career. Kroll broke into the bigs on July 26, 1964 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 4.45 ERA in 87 innings pitched in 1965, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Gary Kroll's best season was 1965, when he posted a 4.45 ERA and struck out 62 batters.
