Gary Kirner (Gary Burgess Kirner) was born on June 22, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Hamilton (Santa Monica, CA), Kirner attended Santa Monica College and the University of Southern California. Kirner made his professional debut in the AFL in 1964 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 6 year career.
