Gary Geiger (Gary Merle Geiger) was born on April 4, 1937 in Sand Ridge, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1958 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1958, his rookie year, he hit .231 with 1 home run and 6 RBI. Geiger played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Gary Geiger's best season was 1961, when he slugged 18 home runs and knocked in 64 runs.
