Gary Bugenhagen (Gary Alan Bugenhagen) was born on February 6, 1945 in Buffalo, New York. After going to high school at Central (Clarence, NY), Bugenhagen attended Syracuse University. Bugenhagen made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Bugenhagen also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time.
