Gary Alexander (Gary Wayne Alexander) was born on March 27, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1975 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .225 with 27 home runs and 84 RBI. Alexander played for the San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Gary Alexander's best season was 1978, when he slugged 27 home runs and knocked in 84 runs.
