Garry James (Garry Malcolm James) was born on September 4, 1963 in Marrero, Louisiana. After going to high school at West Jefferson (Harvey, LA), James attended Louisiana State University. James made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1988 was Garry James's best year, as he ran for 552 yards, ran in 5 TDs and hauled in 39 receptions.
