Gair Allie (Gair Roosevelt Allie) was born on October 28, 1931 in Statesville, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1954 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1954, his rookie year, he hit .199 with 3 home runs and 30 RBI. Allie played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
