Gaines Davis (Trenton Gaines Davis) was born on October 20, 1913. After going to high school at St. Joseph (Lubbock, TX), Davis attended Texas Technical University. Davis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1936 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
