Gagne Injured Once Again

9
Vote

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed closer Eric Gagne on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 7, with right elbow stiffness. All the Dodgers can do now is hope that Gagne is healthy enough to return to the big-leagues after his 15 days are up. "We have our hopes, but we have to go by what's going on in his elbow," manager Grady Little said. "And right now, we don't know what's going on in that elbow. We're just trying to get him back to where he can pitch."

I know what's going on with his elbow. His body is re-adjusting to life without massive amounts of steroids. That seems to cause a bunch of injuries.

I would doubt if they got tested. Good point.

Does anyone in Major League Baseball really get "tested?"

True, Awrigh. I was saying long before he became a closer that the Dodgers should make him a closer. EVERY time I saw him pitch, he'd be light out for two to four innings, and then would get lit up. But when he became a closer, he didn't just pitch like he did for those first three innings when he was a starter. Suddenly, he was HUGE. Glad to see other people noticed that. It's a shame - I really don't think he needed the roids to succeed.

HGH is still available, baby! Just as long as the Feds don't find out about it.

Wonder how much he'll get in the off-season now.
