Born on April 26, 1869 in New York, New York, Fritz Clausen (Frederick William Clausen) played for the Louisville Colonels and Chicago Colts over the course of his 4 year career. Clausen broke into the bigs on July 23, 1892 with the Louisville Colonels, and put up a 3.06 ERA in 200 innings pitched in 1892, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Fritz Clausen's best season was 1892, when he posted a 3.06 ERA and struck out 94 batters.
