Fritz Barzilauskas (Francis Daniel Barzilauskas) was born on June 13, 1920 in Waterbury, Connecticut. After going to high school at Chesire Academy (Chesire, CT) and Crosby (Waterbury, CT), Barzilauskas attended Holy Cross College and Yale University. Barzilauskas made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Boston Yanks. He played for the Boston Yanks, New York Giants and New York Bulldogs over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1948 was Fritz Barzilauskas's best year.
