| Ryan Howard
|
| This is Howard’s second Friday Fryer nomination for 2007. The first one was over his contract. This one is over his play.
The reigning National League MVP arrived at the Philadelphia Phillies spring training camp a little overweight. Okay, a lot overweight and that fact has caused him to be just plain awful so far this year. This fact has also caused him to hurt his legs, they cannot support a whale, and this week, Howard went on the DL.
The good news is that Howard has hired a personal trainer. The trainer, Jeff Cooper, is the retired trainer for the Phillies. Hopefully Cooper has enough left in him to get Howard on a treadmill and out of the buffet line. Nonetheless, Howard lack of production and fat boy appearance has earned him his second Friday Fryer nomination this year. I do hope that this will be his last though….

| A.J. Nicholson
|
| Nicholson is just the latest Cincinnati Bengals’ player to get arrested. This Bengals’ linebacker was booked for fourth degree assault for punching a woman in the eye. That is some class, eh? You are a man, A.J., NOT!
With the NFL cracking down on Arrested Players, you would think that the players would get a clue. Survey says – ZONK! It is also nice to see that the Bengals, a franchise that really should play home games at a prison, has yet to get a clue as well. Maybe it is time to start fining teams for their players’ actions, along with suspending the players. Maybe then folks in the NFL will get it. Until that time, the only thing I can do is nominate these fools for the Friday Fryer. A.J., this chair nomination is for you, bro!

| Brett Favre
|
| The crybaby of the Green Bay Packers is back at it this week. This time Favre is complaining about the fact that the Packers failed to trade for wide receiver Randy Moss. Yes, this is the same Moss who bent over and showed the fans of Green Bay his butt while pretending to wipe it at a playoff game a few years back. Nonetheless, Favre wanted Moss on the team.
When Moss was not obtained, it is reported that Favre went to the Packers and demanded a trade. My only question is: who would want a loud mouth, over the hill, on the rapid decline quarterback that Favre is these days? My guess is only those teams who are out to sell tickets and not to win games would be the ones interested in trading for Favre.
Favre should have retired five years ago from football. Yet, he continues to play on. It seems as though that as his skills have declined, Favre’s ego has grown in the same magnitude. Hence, Favre gets a nomination for the Friday Fryer this week. Something tells me that he will be back on the list again before the year is out.
