| Michael Vick
|
| It is never a good thing to see the Feds with a warrant and a U-Haul truck, to carry away evidence, at your door. This is what Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick would have seen if he was at his property in Virginia.
The Feds are in hot pursuit of Vick over a potential dog fighting ring that Vick may have be participating in. At the very least, it seems quite apparent that Vick’s property was used in connection to dog fighting. This is not good thing, for dog fighting is against the law.
The off-field issues of dog fighting is not helping Michael Vick with his [[football][ career. Since last year, the Falcons have replaced their head coach. There are also whispers that Vick days are numbered in Atlanta. Why? Well it is because that Vick, although a fantastic offense, has never matured into a fantastic NFL quarterback. He wins with his legs and running, however, as a quarterback, you need to win with your arm and passing.
By becoming entangled with dog fighting, Vick just gives the Falcons an easier path to release him at some time in the future. So much talent, so little results – all because an athlete is a mental midget. Nonetheless, by being one, it does allow the athlete a chance at getting the Friday Fryer Chair. This time, it only gets Vick a nomination. Better luck next time, dude!

| The Tampa Bay Devil Rays
|
| The D-Rays are on an eleven game losing streak. They again sit in last place in the AL East. Where there was once hope early on during the 2007 season, now only hopelessness reigns. Thus, The Devil Rays earn a nomination for the Friday Fryer Chair this week.
Will the Devil Rays ever finish with a record above .500. Forget talk of the post-season, I really don’t know if this club will ever have a winning season. Period. This franchise is the worse in baseball, and that says a lot.
Actually, an honest argument can be made that the Devil Rays are the worse franchise is all of professional sports in North America. I guess the Devil Rays can be proud of that dishonor. They can also be proud of earning a Friday Fryer nomination as well.

| Michelle Wie
|
| Only a few years ago, Wie was considered a child prodigy. She was going to take the LGPA like Tiger Woods took the PGA. Nowadays, at 17, Wie is considered simply an immature brat.
Wie’s meltdown has not been limited to her on the course place. She has become abrasive and arrogant, to fellow golfers, to sponsors, and to fans alike. This misbehavior seems only to be getting worse, not better.
There is something to be said about being pushed too far and too hard before one is ready. When this happens, the ending is never pretty. It is too early to say that this is the case with Wie, however, the evidence is beginning to mount. Thus, if it is true, then Wie will be earning the Friday Fryer Chair many times in the near future. This week, however, she only gets a nomination.
