Hide the women and children, for the weekly execution is about to commence. let's see who gets the honor from the wonderful world of sports.
First up, Terrell Owens. Well, his second autobiography has come out. He blames everyone but himself for the problems in his life. I received Sports Illustrated yesterday and saw a long story or T.O. Best quote in the story was the line where he said he was such a good athlete, why does he have to team hop. Well, T.O., you are a stinking cancer in the locker room. You would throw your own mother under the bus if it made you look good. Maybe that is why you have been let go by two teams, with a third one on the way. However, this is still the off-season, so T.O. is spared the chair this time.
Next up, the groundkeepers at the British Open. I saw the greens on television last night. Well green is the color that the grass should be, not brown. Nice job with keeping the course looking good. Clunk!
But the winner of this week's Chair goes to FIFA! FIFA yesterday announced suspenions for both Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi. Now Zindane deserved to be suspended, for head butting Materazzi in the chest during the World Cup Final. However, why was Materazzi suspended? Because he trash talked Zidane? I want someone to show me in the soccer rule book where it sys that trash talking is NOT permitted. This suspension is uncall for, and thus, FIFA gets the honor of going to the Friday Fryer Chair!
Special Executioner of the week - The honor to flip the switch on the Chair this week goes to Floyd Landis. Landis was left for dead in the Tour De France after a horrible Stage 16 on Wednesday. All hope of winning the Tour was suppose to be lost after that stage for Landis, for he was over 8 minutes down. So what does Landis do? Goes on a suicide breakaway in Stage 17, and actually pulls it off! Cuts over seven and a half minutes off of the lead. Now, he is back in contention and is considered the favorite to win it all come Sunday. For that effort, Landis gets the honor for flipping the switch for this week's Friday Fryer's Chair!
