Fresco Thompson

Fresco Thompson (Lafayette Fresco Thompson) was born on June 6, 1902 in Centreville, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1925 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .303 with 1 home run and 70 RBI. Thompson played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that Fresco Thompson's best season was 1929, when he hit for a .324 average and knocked in 53 runs.
