Freeman Fitzgerald (Freeman Charles Fiztgerald) was born on August 21, 1891 in Jervis, Oregon. After going to high school at Columbia Prep (Portland, OR), Fitzgerald attended the University of Notre Dame. Fitzgerald made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Rock Island Independents. He played for the Rock Island Independents for his entire 2 year career.
