Freefall to Rockbottom for the Mets

It's time to push the panic button if you're a Mets fan. You might want to buy a blood pressure monitor or a heart monitor at this moment.
Jump on aboard the Mets freefall downward spiral. Next Destination= Rockbottom.
And you will hear the proverbial sickening thud of this team when it meets it destination.
All season long, we saw the glowing symptoms of this eventual freefall. The sickening loss in Pittsburgh. The disgraceful four game series sweep in Philadelphia. Need I remind you of earlier in the year when the Atlanta Braves made Mets fan damn near soil themselves with their dominance. And that was before they got Mark Teixeira.
The New York Mets have officially become the Dallas Mavericks of Major League Baseball. With every sickening loss this week, the cameras can't get enough of the lost looks on the faces of Jose Reyes, Carlos Delgado, David Wright and the list can go on and on. It's the exact same look that the Mavs had as the Golden State Warriors embarassed them beyond belief. And just like the Mavericks, the Mets are missing quite a few essentials.
HEART PASSION DETERMINATION GUTS LEADERSHIP
This team is so transparent it's pathetic. Someone should smack Jose Reyes in the face the next time he swings at the first pitch and it results in a pop-up. A measly .200 batting average and only 2 stolen bases since Sept 14. And somebody should tell the wonderfully paid veterans on this team that it's ok to increase the pitch count of the opposing pitcher by taking a few pitches every now and then. I've seen better at-bats from a slow-pitch softball team with first-time players covering the whole roster.
This team has packed it in. They've been giving a roundhouse left by the Nationals and a right from the Cards. Right now, they are currently in the midst of a 10 count and the ref is at 9 and a half. Willie Randolph's pathetic body language indicates to me that he has thrown in the white towel. How fitting: The Mets have thrown in the white towel while the city of Brotherly Love are waving white towels as their team continues to show the resilience, heart and clutch hitting and pitching that is needed in the home stretch.
By the way, I'm arranging a meeting with Omar Minaya to potentially see about a postseason roster spot on the Mets bullpen. If Joe Smith, Aaron Heilman, Jorge Sosa, Pedro Feliciano, Aaron Sele and now Billy Wagner can't get a batter out, then somebody has to. I've personally never seen a team blow so many 4 or 5 run leads in any season that I can recall.
Let me not leave out the immense consequences of the Mets hitting rockbottom. Wave bye-bye to Willie Randolph. Mets fans and Mets upper management will not accept that this team who was the favorite to win the NL East and not to mention the blasted pennant would find themselves watching the playoffs instead of participating in it.
I feel absolutely sorry for Omar Minaya. He's probably crawling under his desk right now as we speak. He put together this team getting the right mix of veterans and budding young players in their prime. It's all painfully falling apart as this supposedly World-Series caliber team continues to underachieve and fail on all cylinders.
If the Mets want to avoid the ultimate disaster that would like in New York sports infamy for good, they have three games against the Marlins to do so.
Otherwise, the s**t will hit the fan.
With a crash.
