Free Kick
A restart that results from an infraction caused by the other team. Opponents are required to remain 10 yards from the ball before the game is restarted.
There are two kinds of free kicks, direct and indirect. Direct kicks are given out for most offensives like fouls. Indirect are given for rather minor infractions. The difference between the two is that a direct free kick is eligible to directly scored a goal on. This is not allowed on an indirect free kick.
