Freddy Leach

Freddy Leach (Frederick Leach) was born on November 23, 1897 in Springfield, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on May 24, 1923 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1925, his rookie year, he hit .312 with 5 home runs and 28 RBI. Leach played for the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants and Boston Braves over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that Freddy Leach's best season was 1928, when he hit for a .304 average and knocked in 96 runs.
