Born on February 3, 1961 in Natchez, Mississippi, Freddie Toliver (Freddie Lee Toliver) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career. Toliver broke into the bigs on September 15, 1984 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.24 ERA in 114.2 innings pitched in 1988, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Freddie Toliver's best season was 1988, when he posted a 4.24 ERA and struck out 69 batters.
