Freddie Maguire (Frederick Edward Maguire) was born on May 10, 1899 in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on September 22, 1922 for the New York Giants. In 1928, his rookie year, he hit .279 with 1 home run and 41 RBI. Maguire played for the New York Giants, Chicago Cubs and Boston Braves over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Freddie Maguire's best season was 1928, when he hit for a .279 average.
