Freddie Benavides (Alfredo Benavides) was born on April 7, 1966 in Laredo, Texas. He made his Major League debut on May 14, 1991 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1992, his rookie year, he hit .231 with 1 home run and 17 RBI. Benavides played for the Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies and Montreal Expos over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Freddie Benavides's best season was 1993, when he hit for a .286 average.
