Fred Vanzo (Frederick G. Vanzo) was born on January 8, 1916 in Universal, Indiana. Vanzo attended Northwestern University. Vanzo made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1939 was Fred Vanzo's best year.
