Fred Valentine (Fred Lee Valentine) was born on January 19, 1935 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 7, 1959 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1964, his rookie year, he hit .226 with 4 home runs and 20 RBI. Valentine played for the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Senators over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Fred Valentine's best season was 1966, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .276 average and knocked in 59 runs.
