Fred Treacey (Frederick S. Treacey) was born on 1847 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on May 16, 1871 for the Chicago White Stockings. In 1872, his rookie year, he hit .275 with 2 home runs and 29 RBI. Treacey played for the Chicago White Stockings, Philadelphia Athletics, Philadelphia White Stockings, Philadelphia Centennials and New York Mutuals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Fred Treacey's best season was 1872, when he hit for a .275 average.
