Fred Thurston (Fred Charles Thurston) was born on December 29, 1933 in Altoona, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Altoona (WI)*, Thurston attended Valparaiso University. Thurston made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 10 year career.
