Fred Snodgrass (Frederick Charles Snodgrass) was born on October 19, 1887 in Ventura, California. He made his Major League debut on June 4, 1908 for the New York Giants. In 1910, his rookie year, he hit .321 with 2 home runs and 44 RBI. Snodgrass played for the New York Giants and Boston Braves over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Fred Snodgrass's best season was 1911, when he stole 51 bases, hit for a .294 average and knocked in 77 runs.
