Fred Smalls (Frederick Smalls) was born on January 7, 1963 in Beaufort, South Carolina. After going to high school at Battery (Beaufort, SC), Smalls attended West Virginia University. Smalls made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
