Fred Schulte

Fred Schulte (Fred William Schulte) was born on January 13, 1901 in Belvidere, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1927 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .317 with 3 home runs and 34 RBI. Schulte played for the St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 11 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Fred Schulte's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1932, when he hit for a .294 average and knocked in 73 runs. However, others believe that it was 1933, when he hit for a .295 average and knocked in 87 runs.
