Fred Ratterman (Lawrence Frederick Ratterman) was born on August 9, 1912 in Cincinnati, Ohio. After going to high school at St. Mary's (Cincinnati, OH) and Withrow (Cincinnati, OH), Ratterman attended the University of Michigan. Ratterman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1934 with the Cincinnati-St. Louis Reds-Gunners. He played for the Cincinnati-St. Louis Reds-Gunners for his entire 1 year career.
