Fred Nicholson

Fred Nicholson (Fred Nicholson) was born on September 1, 1894 in Honey Grove, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1917 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1920, his rookie year, he hit .360 with 4 home runs and 30 RBI. Nicholson played for the Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Braves over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Fred Nicholson's best season was 1920, when he hit for a .360 average.
