Fred Negus

Fred Negus (Frederick W. Negus) was born on November 7, 1923 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. After going to high school at Kiski Prep (Saltsburg, PA) and Shreve (Martins Ferry, OH), Negus attended the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin. Negus made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Chicago Rockets. He played in the AAFC for 3 years, playing for the Chicago Rockets and Chicago Hornets over the course of his 3 year AAFC career.Negus also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time.
Most people believe that 1948 was Fred Negus's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
