Fred Mundee (Frederick William Mundee) was born on May 20, 1913 in Youngstown, Ohio. After going to high school at South (Youngstown, OH), Mundee attended the University of Notre Dame. Mundee made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1943 was Fred Mundee's best year.
