Fred Meyer (Frederick D. Meyer) was born on September 29, 1919 in Mount Sterling, Illinois. After going to high school at Classen (Oklahoma City, OK), Meyer attended Stanford University. Meyer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1942 was Fred Meyer's best year.
