Fred Hofmann (Fred Hofmann) was born on June 10, 1894 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on September 26, 1919 for the New York Yankees. In 1923, his rookie year, he hit .290 with 3 home runs and 26 RBI. Hofmann played for the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Fred Hofmann's best season was 1923, when he hit for a .290 average.
