Fred Heron (Fred Roger Heron) was born on October 6, 1944 in Stockton, California. After going to high school at Edison (Stockton, CA), Heron attended San Jose State University. Heron made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Fred Heron's best year.
